New Year

Sorry for the lack of update recently we have been very busy, and when we have been home we have been too tired to do much apart from relax! We have our printer set up perfectly and we are practising a lot with our tablets. (I still cant draw) Siri drew this picture the other night looks great I must say!

We also purchased some transfers and a plain T-shirt, because as some of you might know we are going to start our own company, ONE part of the business will be making custom clothing, other parts will include a variety of stuff such as a Manga/Anime/Gaming store and at some point we will want to be doing computer repairs too. We are starting off with transfers for now to get us started. Here's a picture of our first custom T-shirt.

We are off to buy another copy of Black Ops 2 now, have a Happy New Year from us both. See you next year!

Christmas is over already!

Well Christmas is over and its back to work tomorrow,  sigh.. Not looking forward to going back, too many early mornings and too many hours without my woman but some people have to work I guess or people sitting at home doing nothing will not get their free money. Need to push myself to start our own business as soon as possible now it definitely has to happen this year.

So we tried out our new tablet today, what a great tool.. need to get used to it a bit but really enjoyed using it so far. Will be using it a lot in the coming days when I am not in work. Will probably be doing a lot of overtime in the coming weeks to make up for Christmas. We played quite a bit of Call of Duty Black Ops 2 which I bought Siri for Christmas, we are enjoying it but it get's a bit frustrating when everyone else but yourself has a bad connection and walls do not seem to do nothing and not to mention everyone camping in every possible corner in the map scratching their belly button on the floor, Ahh well you get those type of annoying disgrace to humanity players in every game I guess.

Overall I enjoyed my Christmas we finished last night with a nice evening meal with just the two of us. Having four days off in a row was great too, that does not happen often at all. Never mind we don't get money if we don't work do we! We are interested to know how your Christmas went and what Santa brought you, so send us a tweet and let us know! Christmas Eve!

Its time for a new post! so what have we been doing? well our family came around yesterday for a delicious Christmas meal cooked by my mum, It was all well prepared and a very nice day... She worked really hard on it. We had a nice vegetable soup to start then a full on Christmas dinner, with roast potatoes , sprouts , turkey, swede, cabbage, everything you can think of really was perfect think we all owe her a great big thank you. In fact it smelled so good I could not wait to eat it and I forgot to take a picture for our readers.. Im sorry :(

After eating the delicious food prepared by mother we gave gifts and what not, it was a really nice evening! We also reached a good milestone in Rift and finally got our fastest mount, which is loads better than the slow things we put up with for so long before. As soon as we got our 1000p we could not get the bear faster!

We done Volan for the first time today as well, Best boss ive seen in any MMO game ever and really fun too. A bit laggy, but thats to be expected when the entire server wants to be there on the rare occasion he spawns. We are going to start leveling our other characters too today, My Mage and Siri's Cleric, time to endure all that Storm Legion content again oh goodness, But I want a healer just tanking is getting a bit old for me now.

Holidays are coming!

What a day, we went to see the Coca-Cola truck in the city this afternoon near Winter Wonderland, It was pouring with rain and we got drenched on the way but there was no way we were not going to see the Coca Cola truck today as its a once in a life time opportunity! So drenched to the bone we still managed to get a few quick pictures of it for you so we can share the Happiness!

They were also giving out free mini cans of coke near the truck which was a nice surprise especially since I was feeling a bit parched, I had a full blown glorious Coca-Cola whilst poor Siri had to have a Coke Zero because of her pregnancy diabetes :( which she did not like at all. We also had our picture taken by some Staff working there that will appear on their website in a couple of days they said we have a little Coca-Cola card with the code for our picture on so when its on the website we will show it to you when its there!

They also had some people singing near the truck which would have been nice to watch if it had not been down pouring with rain, While we were in the city we also went to HMV, which was packed with people doing their last minute shopping but we wanted to get the Lord of the Ring Trilogy to have an all day Marathon of Lord of the Rings. So Christmas day we will probably be watching a whole day of Lord of the Rings.. Good stuff.

The Hobbit

We finally saw the Hobbit, what a great movie that was. We are looking forward to seeing the next one next year, we are going to give it a 9/10 rating, So if you have not seen it you should go see it as soon as possible. Its also available in 3D ! Siri and myself are going to have a Lord of the Rings marathon some time over Christmas, Just sit down watch Lord of the Rings  with a table full of snacks, Coke and what ever else... sounds good right?

Now we are just going to relax and look forward to Christmas and hope all our online ordering comes before Christmas day!

Need more hours in a day.

Due to shortage of time we did not have time to post a new addition to our blog yesterday, its been a busy week with Christmas near and juggling the hospital and Christmas shopping in between working. I look forward to my next morning in which I do not have to set an alarm to get up on time! Thank goodness Christmas is almost over, Don't get me wrong I enjoy Christmas but with a big family growing every year it seems! my bank account empty's quite quickly which is a bit frustrating when im trying to save money for our future child. I also need money for other important things before the baby arrives too. What also frustrates me a lot is how people on benefits can afford more than I can and get most things in life completely free where as us honest working folk have to get up early in the morning in the blistering cold to a job we dislike to pay our way in the world! Where as they can do nothing with there lives and get all the money they need to live a more luxurious life than a hard working individual like myself. I have not bought something for myself all year apart from Halo 4 and Storm Legion and a few other games of course which does not work out too expensive. Note in the below picture the N3DSXL Pikachu limited edition, Would love to own one of these, but guess what folks.. I WORK so I cannot treat myself to one of these because im too busy trying to keep my bank account floating above 0, surely the government should reward workers in some way other than taking their money from them with outrageous Tax costs which go straight to the benefit claimers.

Though its not just our government that is messed up like this, its also the Dutch government as they have written numerous letters to Siri asking her to pay a huge fee.. why? because she worked too much, you want to hear something even more ridiculous? its money they want from 2009.. so we also have to pay a big sum every month to pay for a mistake the government made almost 4 years ago because Siri worked too much and too hard. However if you do not work a day in your life and get everything you own from the tax payer (the people that work) you never have to pay the government a penny, they will just shovel all the money and more onto you. We even had threats from them saying they will come to the door to take items which equal the value of what she owed, and the price would be bigger.

But enough of the ranting, what did we do after I finished work yesterday? We played Rift the majority of the day doing Warfronts and earned one really frustrating achievement where you had to kill 5 players as "Santa Claws" now getting "Santa Claws" was frustratingly hard enough, but getting the killing blow on 5 players while still in "Santa Claws" form was really annoying but we done it in the end. At one point we almost re-installed WoW after Siri started talking about the mounts I took days and days to grind. We then did not as we (mainly Siri) have an addictive personality and its best if we stay far, far away from that game. I already wasted over a year of actual IN-GAME time on that game. We also revisited Guild Wars 2, a great game I have to say, but the end-game is not so satisfying and even in a group it feels more like a single player game in which you can see other people. (I also have beef with the Warrior's in this game, but I will save this for another post.)

We also went to the hospital today and Siri got a new toy to test her blood sugar levels, im sure I will have a go of it at some point to see how high my Sugar levels are after all the coke I drink. im expecting the little gadget to say "Its over NIINNEEE THOUSAANND" before shattering into millions of pieces. Siri's turn

Hi everyone, today it is my turn (Siri) to write a new post to give Dave's fingers a break. Today was a boring Sunday in the beginning, because my poor Dave had to work early in the morning. While i was waiting for him to finish, i made some bracelets to give away as Christmas gifts for the little girls in the family. When Dave was finally finished and came home he surprised me with a delicious subway. My favourite! Especially since i'm pregnant. For some reason i can't stand any greasiness any more and only fancy healthy stuff. Must be the baby telling my body to do so.

We went onto Rift again after we had our sub and started doing some PvP, because our vials for extra prestige and favor were still active from yesterday. We also done our dailies for the fae yule event and the chronicle. Speaking of that new chronicle  i have to say i find it horrible because there are so many bugs in it, it's almost not worth doing it until they fix it. I've made a ticket for it, but they couldn't do something about it instantly. So we'll just have to wait i guess, there are lots of other things to do.

If you are looking forward to Dave's next blog, i think he will be doing the one of tomorrow again. I would like you to meet our beautiful baby which we had a scan of on 30-10-12, that's why i will post the picture of that scan below. He or she will be a lot bigger now, but we have to wait until 2-01-2013 for the next scan and then we will also find out whether it will be a boy or a girl. So exciting!

A day of doing absolutely nothing.

Today was one of those days where we done absolutely nothing, spent almost the entire day playing Rift and browsing the internets. Next saturday will be a bit different as the Coca-Cola truck is coming to Cardiff  and ofcourse being the number one Coca-Cola fan we have to go there. But today I did get one thing done, and that was Siri's Christmas present though I really hope it will get here by christmas but I dont think it will  unfortunately, she has other gifts to keep her going until then though.

We also need to find time to do some drawing again, because once we start we usually continue to do so for hours. If any of our fellow readers of the blog also enjoy drawing send us some of your art works we would like to see it and post them on our blog.

I managed to make a folded pompadom which I was quite impressed with to be honest, we made it to go with a Bhuna curry, which was quite bland and tasteless but it was okay. Not enough flavour for our liking though.

Xmas Shopping

We woke up bright and early today to get our Christmas shopping done, First we went to Wetherspoon's for a delicious traditional breakfast then plunged into the over crowded city centre to buy some gifts, Never again will I leave it this late to buy Christmas presents. I think next year we are going to start buying in January.  Its especially hard when your family is huge like ours and children are so hard to buy for these days, they are too used to their Ipods, Blackberry's , Mac book pro's and whatever else they get these days!

We still need to get some more Gifts but we are going to order them off the internet there is no way we will be going back there again before christmas, apart from to go see The Hobbit ofcourse! I also need to get a special something for Siri, just have not decided what yet and for my mother also.

Tomorrow is going to be a day of relax and do nothing. Thank goodness. Have you guys got all of your Xmas shopping done yet? if not don't leave it too late!

Fae Yule

We went to our local surgery today after work to see the midwife for routine checks on Siri, all was well thankfully. Now its time for my weekend Friday and Saturday off.. OH YEAHH.. What else have we done today other than work and go to the midwife? Nothing really just relaxed and played some Rift as the new Fae Yule event is our, and I must say I am enjoying it again!

We don't have so much to put on our blog today for the simple reason, that we did not do much! Oh and about that lottery ticket I bought yesterday at 12:12 12/12/12  .. We did not get a single number on it :( oh well at least we have each other!

12/12/12

Today is 12/12/12 cool right? its something you can tell your future children or grandchildren that you witnessed this phenomenal day as its something that will never happen again.. ever.. today also Siri got a call from the hospital letting her know the results of yesterdays Glucose test and telling her she has diabetes, so we will be spending another few hours at the hospital the up coming tuesday again so we can find out what "strict" diet we have to keep for Siri.

As we do everything together I decided I would also go on this "Strict" diet with her how strict it will be we do not know yet but I will be with her all the way of course, even if that means no Coke for myself and all that know me know I love coke so it will be a challenge for us both as Siri also loves chocolate very much.

On a good note we finally managed to reach Max level on Rift: Storm Legion today after many many... MANY hours of grinding lovely quests and monsters. Honestly I found it more of a chore to get those last few bars of XP rather than fun. I don't know if this is because I over hyped the game for myself before it came out or what, but I am hoping the end game will suck us back into it for endless hours of fun. (Not as endless as WoW I hope)

I also purchased a lottery ticket today at 12:12pm so that is 12:12 12/12/12 hopefully its the lucky ticket, we will let you know! if we have time with all that money on our hands.

Tomorrow we have a short trip to do the doctor to meet the midwife for some routine checks!

Rise of the Guardians

Today we got up early as Siri had to go for her Glucose Tolerance test at the hospital, we are not such a fan of getting up early and unfortunately I have another early morning tomorrow at work. Siri ofcourse was really brave having her blood taken, followed by a really sweet drink then waiting 2 hours at the hospital before going to have her bloods taken again. After spending a boring 2 hours and 30 minutes at the hospital we decided to go to the cinema.

Due to the lack of things to see in the cinema at the moment we watched Rise of the Guardians which was entertaining at first but as the movie progressed I was finding myself waiting for it to end as movies like this, Ice age and Madagascar for example do not seem to keep me hooked for so long, Siri however loves these kinds of movies. However the graphics and animation in the movie was flawless. Seeing Santa with Tattoos and a weird accent.. But who am I to say what sort of accent Santa clause should have.


We decided to give it a 3.5/5 rating.

Unmotivated Monday

Wont be such a long post today as I spent the majority of the day at work so anyway, We woke up this morning in not a particular good mood as it was my first day back to work after a nice week off in Holland. So getting back into the working spirit was not so easy especially seeing as I currently work at a Spar store, which would not be such a bad thing if I never had to deal with a single customer.. but enough of that boring work talk bleughh maybe you want to hear about the first day me and Siri met?

We were both a nervous wreck that day as you can imagine, talking over Xbox Live for the past months or so and finally going to meet face to face for the first time. So our meeting point was London St Pancras as that was the station the Euro star entered which Siri was taking to London. I took the train to Paddington 2:30 hours sitting on the train alone which was not so fun, Even worse for Siri as she had some fat woman sitting on her lap through the entire Eurostar journey (not literally.. well almost).

I finally reached Paddington station so my next goal was to take the underground tube to St Pancras  also it being the first time I ever visited London or used the underground tube I was quite worried how it was going to go the first time finding my way around. Too my surprise it all went perfectly and I arrived at St Pancras safe and sound waiting for Siri nervously. And then suddenly I got a call from Siri saying she was at St Pancras station so while still talking on the phone I went to search for her looking around everywhere while Siri said she spotted me already, as you can imagine I felt alot of pressure on myself at this point knowing she was watching me as I was looking around everywhere for her until she finally decided to put me out of my embarrassment and come out of the shadows to greet me. So we hugged awkwardly and I offered to carry her bag and then I could not because it was twice the weight and size of me i am not even joking she did not know how to pack lightly during our early days.

At this point we did not have much time to get comfortable with each other and had to rush back to catch our train back to Cardiff, on the way back we came across numerous obstacles such as taking the underground tube the wrong way, doubling the time it took to get back so we missed our train back and had to take the next train which was 20 minutes later. Half way back to Cardiff the train conductor came around checking peoples tickets. Not being the experienced traveller I did not know if I took the train 20 minutes later that was going to the same destination would I have to pay almost double what I payed for the ticket because my ticket was not valid for this train. Even though the train was pretty much empty I still had to pay over £120 fee needless to say I was pretty annoyed.

We finally made it back to Cardiff got to know each other alot more and had a really nice time.

But for now that's it, we are looking against tomorrow as we have a long morning ahead of us as Siri has the hospital for a Glucose tolerance test so we are going to be there for a numerous amount of hours.

Dave and Siri Begins

Hey everyone, welcome to our new blog which will consist of posts from us from the Outernets, Posts about games, movies, art and all the kind of nerdy stuff all you guys love!

So this being our first blog post ill give you a little background infomation on us,

How did we meet?

Well many people find this hard to believe but we actually met each other over Xbox Live, we both happened to be playing Call of duty: Black Ops, we became friends on Xbox Live started playing together, and talking to each other quite often until Siri decided to come to Wales for a short while. We had a great time and when it was time for Siri to go back to Holland we were both sad. Not weeks later Siri came back to Wales to live together forever. We have been together almost 2 years now and we are still as close as we were from day one. I do not know how I could have lived without her!

Our Interests?

We both love to play Video games (ofcourse) both on the Xbox and Pc, We mainly play FPS and MMO' games together but we both enjoy a wide variety of games for both platforms. Also going to the Cinema and watching movies is a big hobby of ours so big in fact we both have a Cineworld Unlimited card so we can watch as many movies as we like for a fixed fee every month.

Recently we have also started getting into Drawing, we mainly draw Manga characters.. Because watching anime is also one of our interests and we both like the style very much.

Our future plans?

We want to start up our own company so we can work together. What company that will be yet we are not sure. One of our ideas was to open a Manga/Anime Webshop, Or open our own Gaming Cafe or computer buisness. Its important for us to start thinking about this and taking action in moving forward as in may we will be having a little Dave or Siri together and we want a higher income to support us and the baby. Im currently working in Spar.. I have been for over 2 years now and I do not want to spend the rest of my life there as you can imagine!
